VOTING: January 8, 2013 Regular Meeting 6pm

Participation on RAPANPA's Board of Directors is a unique opportunity to be part of a organization that consists of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in Northern California, whose leadership and participation will play an important and vital part as we enter into the new healthcare initiative. Opportunities are available for those who want to demonstrate leadership and strengthen our position in the area as we step into the future and expand our roles and responsibilities. Whether your talents are in practice or in education, marketing or public relations, finance or administration, or other areas, your participation is needed.

The following Board positions are open for nominations:
  • Elected Positions 
  • President 
  • President-Elect 
  • Secretary 
  • Finance/Membership
  • Education/Network Committee 
  • CANP Representative
  • CAPA Representative
  • Marketing Committee
  • Membership Committee

President:
Responsible for continuing goals and objectives of group. Handle emails and communication for the group. Monthly call for 30-60 minutes with CANP to continue with affiliation, Prepare, print agenda for each meeting (5) a year. Hold Board meeting once a term for strategic planning and work together with Board members to ensure continued goals and objectives of group.

This position usually has a Past President and President Elect to help with the responsibilities.

President Elect:
work with President to help continue with the goals and objectives of the group while learning the responsibility of the job.

Treasurer/Finance:
Responsible for the budget management, collecting of dues, checking account balance, making deposits, and payment of debts, collecting the mail. Once yearly filing all necessary tax requirements for Exempt status of Corporations in the State of CA. Attend at least one of the monthly calls for finance with CANP affiliate during the year. Help with membership committee to continue to keep all databases current on membership and to maintain data. Working with the President to further the goals and objectives of the group.

Secretary:
Responsible for taking minutes at the meetings and transferring to the ENP network for distribution. Working with the President to further the goals and objectives of the group.
CANP Representative: Report at each meeting current legislation, news and status of State group for Nurse Practitioners. Working with the President to further the goals and objectives of the group

CAPA Representative:
Report at each meeting current legislation, news and status of State group for Physician Assistants. Working with the President to further the goals and objectives of the group.

Education/Network Coordinator:
Responsible for development of educational programs during the year and notifying members. Maintaining the ENP web page issues. Work with President to further the goals and objectives of the group.

Membership Committee:
work with Finance to keep data collection of current and past membership files for the continued group attendance and information gathering. Creatively assist with membership development plans for growth and work with the Board to further goals and objectives of the group.Work with CAPA and CANP to keep area data current. At least one monthly teleconference call a year with CANP to meet affiliation requirements.

Marketing Committee:
work with other Board members at developing strategies for membership growth and promotion of the group within our communities and work environments. Attend at least one monthly teleconference call a year with CANP to meet affiliation requirements.
