The facility utilizes Cerner Care B as their EMR system and maintains a collaborative environment between providers. Job Details:

• Position for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with trauma experience, including qualification to manage pediatric trauma patients
• Evening shift schedule (3 p.m. to 1 a.m.)
• Work alongside one other Trauma NP/PA who covers day shift (7a-5p)
• Support the trauma surgeon on call while monitoring, managing, and discharging patients on the trauma service
• Daily patient census on Trauma Service of approximately 20-25 patients
• Required procedures include laceration repair, IV access/insertion, fracture and dislocation reductions
• Advanced procedures include G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central and arterial line placement
• California license required (NPs must have CA NP furnishing number)
• Must maintain current ACLS, BLS, and ATLS certifications throughout assignment
• Current ATLS certification required at submission - hard requirement
• Local candidates highly preferred
