This facility is a Level II Trauma Center providing comprehensive emergency and trauma care services to the community. The center is equipped with advanced medical technology and staffed by dedicated healthcare professionals committed to delivering excellent patient care. The facility uses Cerner Care B as its electronic medical record system, ensuring efficient and accurate documentation of patient care.

Job Details:

• Working 8-10PM shift (3 p.m. to 1 a.m.)
• Supporting the on-call trauma surgeon and responsible for monitoring, managing, and discharging all patients on the trauma service
• Managing daily patient census of 20-25 patients on Trauma Service
• Working alongside one other Trauma NP/PA who covers day shift (7a-5p)
• Performing low/moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access/peripheral line insertion, and fracture/dislocation reductions
• Conducting high-risk procedures including G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, and central/arterial line placement
• Must be qualified to manage pediatric trauma patients (though pediatric trauma volume is low)
• Must maintain ACLS, BLS, and ATLS certifications while on assignment
• NPs must have CA NP furnishing number; PAs must complete CA CSEC (California Controlled Substance Education Course)
